英式弦音締造者


1952年的英國，擁有工程學文憑的小提琴和中提琴學生James How，利用他在聲學、諧波、工程設計和構造方面的知識為自己設計了一台繞線機。在他的手轉幫助下，他造出了第一根圓繞琴弦。

1958 James 和兄弟 Ron 在 Blackfen, Kent called 成立了自己的公司，名為 Orchestral & Jazz Strings。

第一個量產琴弦被命名為“Top Strings”，後來更名為“Rotop”。

首批客戶包括影子樂團、披頭士樂團、滾石樂團、倫敦交響樂團、皇家利物浦愛樂樂團、Vox 管風琴公司和伯恩斯吉他公司的所有弦樂器。

隨著越來越多的演奏者尋求使用這些圓繞琴弦，James 和 Ron 決定創建一個總結他們創新的新品牌。

他們將弦樂獨特的飽滿、明亮的聲音與圓形的拉丁動詞“Roto”相結合，將其命名為新品牌 Rotosound。

60年代 Rotosound 跨足到效果器的領域, Rotosound Fuzz 與 Growler 是當時最知名的產品, 愛用者包含了Jimi Hendrix。

其後至今不計其數的為大音樂家們都對於這個品牌充滿敬意.從 Pink Floyd 到 Guns ‘n Roses，從 Queen 到 Nirvana.......
