Martin Standard Series D-28 All-Solid Acoustic Guitar (2025 Refresh / Natural)
Since 1931 the Martin D-28 has been the benchmark acoustic guitar, heard on countless recordings and stages across folk, country, bluegrass and rock. Its Dreadnought (D-14 Fret) body with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides delivers bold volume and projection, strong bass, clear trebles and rich overtones.
2025 Standard Series Refresh: Golden Era Bracing
For 2025 Martin refreshed the Standard Series. The D-28 now uses the Sitka spruce Golden Era (GE) scalloped, forward-shifted X-bracing from the Modern Deluxe Series for a more vintage-inspired voice with enhanced sustain.
Refined Neck & Fingerboard
A GE Modified Low Oval neck with High-Performance Taper and satin finish, a thinner fingerboard with a gently beveled edge, an angled nut with refined string spacing, a sleeker vintage-style heel and a long diamond neck transition.
GE Modern Belly Bridge & Bone Pins
The Golden Era Modern Belly bridge has smoother corners and bone bridge pins, with a compensated bone saddle and bone nut. Classic Style 28 appointments include antique white binding, a Style 28 multi-stripe rosette, an ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays and nickel open-gear tuners.
Hardshell Case Included
Every D-28 comes with a Martin molded hardshell case and is strung with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 Phosphor Bronze Medium strings.
