Fender MIJ Hybrid II 2026 Collection Stratocaster — Satin Metallic
Fender introduced the Made in Japan Hybrid series in 2017 and developed it into Hybrid II in 2021. According to Fender Japan, the update drew on player feedback about existing Japan-made models, keeping a familiar Fender look while adding modern playing specifications.
This Stratocaster combines an alder body, a Modern C maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius and 22 Narrow Tall frets, vintage-style locking tuners and a two-point tremolo. Three Hybrid II Custom Voiced single-coils (SSS) are wired to a five-way switch.
The Made in Japan Hybrid II 2026 Collection is limited to production in 2026; Fender does not publish a numbered edition or total quantity. The Satin Metallic models have satin finishes on both body and neck, described in Shimamura’s launch notes as a "Luxury Satin Metallic Finish" inspired by cars and IT products, in Matte Champagne Mirage, Matte Inferno Red, Matte Aero Blue and Matte Phantom Black; this page offers Matte Inferno Red and Matte Aero Blue. Compared with the Misty Satin models, they use a 2-ply aluminum-style acrylic pickguard, black knobs and black nickel hardware; neck, pickups and bridge are the same. Store observations will be added after the instrument has been inspected and played.
Satin metallic finish with dark hardware
The Matte Inferno Red and Matte Aero Blue bodies have a Satin Polyester finish, paired with a 2-ply aluminum-style acrylic pickguard, black knobs and black nickel hardware.
SSS pickups and two-point tremolo
Three Hybrid II Custom Voiced single-coils with five-way switching; Tone 1 controls the neck pickup and Tone 2 the bridge and middle pickups. Two-point tremolo and locking tuners.
